YOU can unlock your iPhone using a special codeword of your choosing.
TikTok star @phonerepairguru shared the clever trick in a post to his 4.2million followers, showing how he set it all up in his device settings.

The tech guru can now unlock his iPhone without touching it simply by uttering the age-old command, “open sesame”.
The 29-second video has racked up more than 350,000 likes and 2,000 comments since it was posted in September 2020.
In the clip, the influencer shows how to dive into your iPhone settings to activate Voice Control, a built-in feature that lets you use your device hands-free.
It’s part of Apple’s accessibility features designed to support people’s visual, physical and hearing needs.
“This is how to unlock your phone using a secret word,” @phonerepairguru says during the video.
To give it a try for yourself, head to the settings app and tap Accessibility > Voice Control.

Tap set up voice control or simply switch it on if you’ve set it up previously.
Once the feature is ready to go you can set up a command that will make your iPhone unlock whenever you tell it to.
To do that, go to Customise commands > Custom > Create new command.
Under Phrase, type in the command you want to use to unlock your phone, such as “open sesame” or “howdy”.
Now you’ll need to select the action your want that command to trigger. To do that, tap Action > Run custom gesture.
Set the action you want your codeword to trigger by tapping on the screen. In this case, you want the action to be your unlock passcode.
So, if your passcode is 3494, tap the areas of the screen where those numbers appear when you’re prompted to unlock your phone. Tap Save.
If you use Face ID, you’ll need to swap over to a passcode in your settings.
Now, whenever you say your command while your phone is locked, it will unlock your phone by typing out your passcode remotely.
While accessibility features are primarily designed to help out the mentally or physically impaired, they’re handy to able-bodied users, too.
You can set up spoken commands to perform a number of tasks, such as open the control centre, go to the home screen, open specific apps and more.
You can even use the accessibility feature to dictate and edit text.
Other accessibility features in iOS include VoiceOver, which reads websites or text messages aloud, and Magnifier, which turns your iPhone camera into a magnifying glass.
