YOU can bag yourself six months of ad-free music streaming with this cracking offering from Apple.

The California iPhone-maker is giving away six months of Apple Music for free to anyone who owns a pair of AirPods or select Beats products.

It’s a great way to avoid paying out every month – especially if you’ve got a subscription to a rival like Spotify or Deezer.

Apple Music, which has a library of more than 75million songs, usually costs $10/£10 per month.

That means the offer, which kicked off this week, saves you $60/£60 in total. The best part is, your eligible gadget doesn’t need to be a recent purchase.

To get started, you’ll need one of these: AirPods Pro, AirPods, AirPods Max, Beats Studio Buds, Powerbeats, Powerbeats Pro, Beasts Solo Pro.

Then, you’ll need to sign up as a new subscriber to Apple Music via the Apple Music app or on Apple’s website, here.

Once that’s out the way, you’ll need to make sure your iPhone or iPad is running iOS 15, the latest version of the iPhone operating system.

To do that, head to Settings > General > Software update.

Next, pair your eligible audio device to your iPhone or iPad.

Open the Apple Music app on your iPhone or iPad and sign in with your Apple ID. The offer should appear immediately after launching the app.

If it doesn’t, go to the Listen Now tab where it will appear. Tap “Get six months free.”

The offer is only available to new subscribers, meaning if you’ve sign up for Apple Music before, you won’t be eligible.

You have 90 days after pairing the new device to your iPhone or iPad to claim the six months of free access to the service.

Apple launched Apple Music, an ad-free music streaming subscription service, in 2015.

It’s the US tech titan’s answer to Swedish Spotify, which is the world’s most popular music streaming app.

In June 2019, Apple announced that the service had 60million subscribers around the world. That’s the last time any official figures were released.
