In terms of the number of titles shown, PlayStation’s State of Play was the clear winner with 18 games, compared to Xbox’s Developer_Direct’s 5.

Four of these five were Xbox exclusive titles, and the majority of PlayStation’s games were exclusives as well.

There was one game from each showcase that stood out, and had people talk about for weeks after.

For Xbox, this was Indiana Jones and The Great Circle, which wowed fans with how impressive it looked.

More in Consoles

The mix of third-person cutscenes and first-person action is pretty unique, and there were plenty of nods to the popular Indie films.

It was clear that the team were passionate about the popular IP, and it seems that the game is in safe hands with MachineGames.

PlayStation’s standout title was Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, and we got an extended look at the video game auteur’s upcoming project.

It had all the hallmarks that we expect from a Kojima game, with new and interesting ideas and exciting set pieces.

From the stop-motion puppet to the extra pair of hands worn as a necklace, people can’t wait to see what else will shock them.

Both games got fans excited with players eager to see exactly what is to come.

However, some of the other games in Xbox’s lineup were also very strong, including Ara: A History Untold, and Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga.

Fans were also thrilled with what was shown from these games, with stunning graphics and gameplay reveals.

PlayStation also had some exciting games like Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin.

However, other games like Silent Hill 2 disappointed fans with lacklustre gameplay.
