But after she did some digging of her own she was able to bring the price down even more.

She shared her discovery in the Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK group on Facebook.

The shopper said: “Not often I find a bargain but today in B&M on the shelves for £30 and a sign saying it was reduced to £10.”

“I quickly scanned it on the app to make sure and it was scanning for £5.”

She continued: “Took to the till and sure enough I got a drinks trolley for a fiver.”

The post wracked up hundreds of likes and comments with many group members congratulating the savvy shopper.

One user said: “Brilliant.”

Another said: “I got mine for about £16 just after lockdown. I wrap fairy lights around it.”

“Oh, I do love a bargain!!! Well done you!!” cheered a third user.

“Wow bargain,” said someone else.

With items such as this stock will be limited from store to store and some might not have it for the same reduced price.

It’s always worth shopping when looking to buy a product as you might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere.

How can I save money at B&M?

The B&M barcode scanner app allows you to discover discounted items before the staff have even reduced them.

Shoppers should also keep an eye out for products with a white reduction sticker on.

This means they will have a certain amount slashed off the price shown on the label.

It’s cheaper to shop for products at the end of the season.

Get friendly with staff too, they’ll be able to tell you when the sales will hit, or if there are bargains out the back – so you get the best bits.

What is the B&M barcode scanner?

The B&M scanner lets shoppers see if the item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop shelf.

It is completely free to get and use, you just need to download the B&M app from the Google Play store or Apple store.

All you need to do is scan the barcode on any item in-store and see what price comes up.

Whatever price is showing is the price it will scan for at the tills.

Once you have the app on your phone, just click on the “scan” button at the bottom of your homepage.

This will then bring up the camera on your smartphone, which you’ll need to use to scan barcodes.

While the reductions can sometimes seem a bit random, it is usually seasonal stock or old stock.

Products that are usually discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

It seems B&M is the place to be to find deals on homeware, earlier this year shoppers spotted a snazzy nest of tables scanning for £1 instead of £50.

There have also been quite a few deals on the Spaceways.

Late last year a shopper spotted a £65 dining set down to just £10.
