Police confirm woman was known to family of boy, who was found with ‘significant injuries’ on Tuesday

Police said the family of a five-year-old boy who was killed in Coventry are “devastated”, as a 49-year-old woman who was known to them was arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police were called to the Earlsdon area of the city just after 5pm on Tuesday where the boy, who was just short of his sixth birthday, was found with “significant injuries”.
