Elon Musk, who is the new owner of Twitter, is conducting a poll on the platform to see if users are interested in seeing Vine come back from the dead – a platform know for creating stars like Logan Paul and Shawn Mendez.
Vine, which let users share six-second-long videos, was an overnight sensation in 2012 and bought out by Twitter just five months after its release, but the social media platform killed it five years later due to increasing competition in the market.
A user suggested that reviving Vine could make it a TikTok competitor and ‘that’d be hilarious,’ in which the Chief Twit replied: ‘What could we do to make it better than TikTok?’
The poll has more than three million votes, with more than 69 percent of the votes stating ‘yes,’ but it is not clear if Musk has real plans to bring it back or is just making playful conversation on Twitter.

Musk officially closed his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter last Thursday after months of battling with the social media site executives over concerns most of the accounts are actually spam bots.
He has since cleaned house, firing executives like CEO Parag Agrawal, and is expected to fire ‘25 percent of staff.’
While much of the news has been focused on such events, Musk is hoping to steer it toward Twitter’s evolution as a platform and is hoping to get input from those who use the platform.

Musk replied with the ‘100 percent’ emoji as a response.

Vine was the first of its kind, allowing people to create short videos to share with the world.

The app also gave rise to several famous individuals including Shawn Mendez who is a world-renowned musician and Andrew ‘King Bach’ Bachelor who was one of the most-followed creators on Vine and is now an actor on ‘The Mindy Project.’
Then there is Logan Paul who started creating comedy clips for Vine and then moved to YouTube when the app was shut down.
He, however, became a controversial figure when he filed the dead body of a man who killed himself in Japan’s famous ‘suicide forest.’
Paul is now a professional wrestler who is signed with WWE and has more than 23 million YouTube subscribers.

Musk offered to buy Twitter on April 14 and the picture of him with Yusuppov was shared just 11 days later, suggesting Musk has been planning to bring Vine back since making his $44 billion deal.
