Wilko stores returning as Poundlands on November 4 revealed
Numerous Wilko locations are due to reopen as Poundland stores next week.
The following locations are set to reopen on November 4:
- Unit 16, Lagny Street, Alnwick, NE66 1LB
- 22-24 Headingley Central, Otley Road, Headingley, Leeds, LS6 2UE
- 48-52 Freeman Street, Grimsby, DN32 7AG
- Unit 11, St Andrews Retail Park, Hull, HU3 4EH
- 12-14 Bore Street, Lichfield, WS13 6LL
- 30-40 High Street, Wombwell, Barnsley, S73 8AA
- Edmonton Green Shopping Centre, 3-11 North Square, London, N9 0TZ
- 41 Hamilton Way, Oak Mall Centre, Greenock, PA15 1RQ
- 32 Yoden Way, Castle Dene Shopping Centre, Peterlee, SR8 1AL

Wilko took to X, formerly Twitter, to confirm the news of its return.
The post reads: “We’re thrilled to let you know Wilko stores will be returning to the high street and retail parks across the UK, including Northern Ireland for the first time!
“Following the re-launch of http://wilko.com and the announcement that Wilko products are to be sold in The Range’s 200 stores, what quickly became clear is that Wilko is still plays a part in people’s everyday lives.
“Five stand-alone concept stores will open before Christmas, starting with Plymouth and Exeter, closely followed by two locations in the South-East and one in the North.”
The Wilko stores bought by Poundland
Following the collapse of Wilko, Poundland purchased a large number of the budget retailer’s locations.
Some have already been converted into Poundland stores, with more to open this week.
