What are the Wickes opening times over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday?

If you’re planning on doing some shopping over the long weekend, be advised that opening hours may be affected by the Platinum Jubilee festivities.

Wickes have announced that they will be open over the bank holiday, but the hours will be slightly different.

Their stores will be open until 6pm on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd June 2022, but will be closing two hours earlier than the usual 8pm finish.

The retailer will continue to trade as usual until 7pm on Saturday 4th June, 2022, and will be open for business on Sunday 5th June, 2022 from 10am-4pm in England & Wales.

Opening hours throughout Scotland will be 9am to 5pm.

Is Wickes delivering over the Bank Holiday?

It’s not known whether deliveries will be affected by the long weekend.

In order to avoid disappointment, it’s probably a good idea to find your local store and find out whether Click and Collect and deliveries will be impacted.

When are the Bank Holiday dates for 2022?

The Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend is fast approaching, but worry not because it is not the last that you get to celebrate this year.

You have other opportunities to take a break from work later in the year.

The first bank holiday of the year was on January 3, 2022 which wasas a substitute day for New Year’s Day which fell on a Saturday this year.

Then Brits got to enjoy a hot bank holiday weekend in April, 2022, thanks to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Soon after, May 2 brought with it the Early May Bank Holiday and now Brits head into the Spring Bank Holiday and the Platinum Jubilee Holiday on June 2 and 3, 2022.

After that, the next holidays will be on:

  • August 29 – Summer Bank Holiday
  • December 26 – Boxing Day
  • December 27 – Christmas Day (substitute day)
