After being indicted by a grand jury in Ohio late last week on child molestation charges, the step-grandparents of a child who was reportedly held in “concentration camp-like” conditions were arrested.
According to records examined by Law & Crime, Armin Rodiguez, 70, and Susan Rodiguez, 67, both face accusations of child endangerment causing bodily injury and child endangerment complicity. The couple recklessly tortured or severely assaulted the victim,’ according to court records acquired by the television network.

Armin and Susan Rodriguez are the step-grandparents who are in jail for allegedly partaking in severe punishments inflicted on their daughter’s stepson.
The charges are similar to those made against the couple’s daughter, Amy Dangel (also known as Amy Rodriguez in court papers), in March of this year. Anthony Dangek, the boy’s biological father, has also been charged with child endangerment for allegedly creating a risk and failing to halt the alleged abuse.
Prosecutors suspect the assault took place over three years commencing in 2018.

Was the Case of Armin and Susan Rodriguez Grandchild Abuse a Death Case?
Prosecutors claim that the step-grandparents punished their step-grandson, 13, by forcing him to stand in an unused room for hours on end. During these alleged times of torture, the victim was reportedly denied access to the bathroom. Armin and Susan Rodriguez would reportedly use webcams to watch the kids guarantee compliance.
Similar claims were leveled against their daughter, but the camera detail appears to be specific to the couple.
Investigators also suspect the boy’s step-grandparents assaulted him with a belt and withheld food from him, similar to what the boy’s stepmother is accused of doing. The pair face complicity charges, which state that they ‘aided or assisted Amy Dangel in committing the felony of harming children.’
While Amy Dangel is accused of assaulting the youngster with wooden spoons in addition to being thrashed with belts. She allegedly also bound him to a bed and repeatedly beat him in retaliation for his imagined transgressions.

According to the child’s aunt, Heather Coombs, the youngster now walks with a limp, is in excruciating pain, and is emotionally traumatized as a result of the abuse. Lisa Dangel, the boy’s biological mother, died in January 2016, according to her.
Amy Dangel has also been accused of abusing the 13-year-old’s brother, although her allegations are presently restricted to those involving the elder sibling. The claims of abuse against the youngster were initially brought to the boy’s aunt’s attention in 2019.
Additionally, both the boy’s father and stepmother used to work for the Miami Township Fire Department. They were put on administrative leave at first, but both have now been sacked.
