HIGH streets will buzz with shoppers again after Christmas and Boxing Day closures.

Monday December 27 is a bank holiday, which means some shops may have different hours.

Most shops were closed on Christmas Day as traditionally shopping’s off the cards on December 25.

Some shops stayed closed on Boxing Day too this year to give workers a much deserved day off over the festive season.

Home Bargains, Poundland and toy shop The Entertainer are among the high street names who didn’t open their doors.

Even supermarkets like Morrisons and Iceland decided to close their doors for Boxing Day, which was on a Sunday this year.

Here’s what you can expect after Christmas when it comes to shop opening times.

Remember hours can vary between stores and be different to usual over Christmas, so check ahead to save a wasted journey.

Primark‘s nearly 200 stores across the country are open today and you can find sale items starting from just 50p.

Of course you’ll have to go In store to buy from Primark, as it doesn’t have a website you can make purchases from.

But it does plan on launching a new website where you’ll be able to check stock.

Argos

Argos, shopper can head to stores today as they’re open after Christmas Day’s closure.

Some Argos counters located in Sainsbury’s stores were closed on Boxing Day as the supermarket did not open its doors for customers on Sundays.

Argos has a sale with up to 50% off and you can of course buy online too if you can’t get to a store in person.

You’ll find H&M stores open today – and discounts of up to 50% in the Boxing Day sales.

Boots

Boots stores are open and were on Boxing Day after shutting on Christmas Day itself.

JD Sports

JD Sports stores are open if you’re looking for a trainer fix, and there’s a Boxing Day sale.

The sports chain is also offering click and collect from selected stores, or you can order online for home delivery.

M&S

All Marks & Spencer stores stayed close yesterday giving staff a break on Boxing Day.

M&S branches selling clothing, homeware and beauty products were closed, but some locations at BP garages selling food were open the day after Christmas.

Matalan stores are open today after closing on Christmas Day.
