Where to buy the Airpods 3 in the US

In the States, you’ll also find the Airpods 3 are already online to pre-order at a couple of stores – we’ve listed them below.

Again, we’ll keep you notified of which retailers have the newest Airpods in stock when they officially launch.

Airpods 3 release date

The third-generation Apple Airpods are set to be official launched next week (commencing October 25) – but as you can see, pre-orders are open now.

Airpods 3 price

The Airpods 3 are competitively priced at $179 in the US, and £169 in the UK.

Given that the Airpods Pro are currently price around approximately £10 more, it’s also an indicator of what is and isn’t being offered in terms of features.

Scroll on to find out more about the Airpods 3 specs.

Airpods 3 design and specs

The third-gen Airpods look more like the Airpods Pro than their predecessors.

They come boasting shorter stems and rectangular buds, along with large touch sensors on either side – but it should come as absolutely zero surprise that they still sport the all-white aesthetic that made the original Airpods so iconic.

In terms of features, the Airpods 3 come with increased levels of sweat and water-resistance, making these suitable for outdoor running when it’s raining.

The sound has been greatly improved too, as Spatial Music has been introduced to the Airpods 3.

This feature offers an extra, immersive level of sound previously only founded in the Airpods Pro and over-ear Airpods Max.

One notable absence is that of the noise cancellation that is offered in the Airpods Pro – which of course explains the price point.

Airpods 3 battery life

The new Airpods do come with 6 hours of battery life: that’s an extra hour on the previous pair.

Also, the charging case now offers 30 hours of life – an improvement on the 24 hours offered by its predecessor.

It’s these long-length battery lives that set Apple earbuds apart from cheaper, budget-friendly alternative.

Airpods 3 vs Airpods Pro

Lots of people will be asking themselves whether to opt for Apple’s latest earbuds, or the Airpods Pro, which were released in October 2019.

Given the prices are almost neck and neck, the deciding factor will likely be whether ANC is an important feature for you.

If the noise cancellation offered by the Pro is something you’re after, whether it’s in the gym, on your run or during your commute, these remain the right choice for you.
