Parents have to act fast to snap up the best toys this year such as the CoComelon deluxe interactive JJ doll

The CoComelon deluxe interactive JJ doll is based on the baby character from the popular YouTube kids series Cocomelon.

Children can change his clothes, feed him, and sing-a-long to nursery rhymes with the doll.

It is 12 inches tall and has proved so popular that shops are selling out fast and some are being sold for over the odds on eBay.

There has already been speculation about toy shortages this year due to a lack of delivery drivers and backlogs at manufacturers.

That means parents have to act fast to snap up the best toys.

If you are really desperate to get your hands on a JJ doll, we found one on Amazon for £70 or eBay has listing for between £50 and £70.

That is way over the recommended retail price of £39.99 though and it may be worth waiting to see when more stock becomes available.

We have scouted out some of the cheapest places to find the JJ Cocomelon doll.

The CoComelon deluxe interactive JJ doll costs £40 at Argos.

It is currently sold out but says it expects more stock by November 7.

Find your nearest Argos online using its store finder.

You should be able to collect in-store or arrange delivery if there is one in stock.

Delivery costs from £3.95.

Smyths is also sold out until at least November 7.

You can find your nearest Smyths’ store online and arrange to collect or have your item delivered if it comes back in stock.

Deliveries are free on purchases over £20 and Smyths sells the doll for £39.99.

The doll is also out of stock on The Entertainer website but usually sells for £39.99.

You can sign up to be emailed when it comes back in though.

Delivery would be free or you can find the nearest store for when it is back in stock.

How to use stock checkers to bag a deal

A stock checker could help you buy a much sought-after product as soon as it comes back into stock.

What is a stock checker?

A stock checker lets you sign up to receive alerts on products so you can see when they are available.

You may be able to setup an alert that pops up in your internet browser or by email.

This means you can be ready to buy the toy or item you are after as soon as it is available and ideally before it goes out of stock again.

How does a stock checker work?

There are websites such as Stock Informer, LatestDeals or Stock Checkers that track supply of the most popular items.

They may not track everything but you can usually sign up to receive alerts about when a particular product is back in stock.

This includes popular items such as PS5s and Stock Informer will send desktop alerts about the JJ CoComelon doll.

Some retailers such as The Entertainer may also let you sign up for alerts once a product is back in stock.

You just need to keep an eye on your inbox to make sure you don’t miss the message and your opportunity to buy.

It is still worth doing your own research and keeping an eye on social media feeds in case a stock checker isn’t tracking every store.

There are plenty of other great gifts around even if you can’t get this one.

Hamleys had listed its top 10 toys for Christmas 2021.

Lots of stores have big sales in the run up to Christmas, and particularly around Black Friday.

The big annual shopping day this year falls on Friday November 26 and we’ve looked at how to get the best deals.
