WHATSAPP is upping security to protect users from persistent hackers trying to takeover their accounts.
We’ve already learned that the popular app is working on a new login approval feature.
It’s meant for when someone is trying to log into your account from another device.
But in another leaked upcoming update you could have an extra layer of protection.
If you want to move your WhatsApp account to a different device, you’ll have to verify it.
This is usually done with a verification code sent to your phone.
Normally, you’d get this via text message or an automatic call.
But according to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a third way.
Apparently the app on your old phone will be able to generate the 6-digit code as well.
The feature reads: “Enter this verification code on your new phone.

“Please don’t share it with anyone.
“if you didn’t request a code, you can safely ignore this.”
The security boost isn’t available to everyone yet.
Only some beta testers have managed to try it so far.
As with any early leaks, WhatsApp may decide not to release it at all, so we’ll have to wait and see.
How to get WhatsApp beta
To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.
Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.
Tap the “I’m In” button and then click “Join” to confirm.
Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.
Joining the WhatsApp beta on iOS is more difficult, and has limited capacity.
