The old map bids its farewell in the Last Hours of Verdansk event, which was also delayed.
But after that, it’s straight into the Pacific Caldera map so here’s everything you need to know before it drops.
Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific release date
The new Warzone Pacific map was initially set to launch on last week, but players were informed of the delay by the official Call of Duty Twitter account.
Caldera now goes live on Thursday, December 9, but if you own Call of Duty: Vanguard you can start playing early.
Vanguard players’ early access event starts on Wednesday, December 8 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT.
The new Caldera map is set in the Pacific and is roughly the same size as Verdansk, with more than 200 points of interest for players to explore.
You can take a look at all of the Warzone Pacific map screenshots so far as well as an in-depth breakdown of Caldera.
You’ll be waging warfare on beaches, in forests, and small river settlements, while a dormant volcano sits in the centre towering over the terrain.

Players will also have access to new vehicles including AA trucks and even propeller aircraft – a first for Warzone.
Ahead of Caldera’s launch, a number of special events in Verdansk will play out to gear players up for the new season.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Season One release date
Similarly delayed, the Season One Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone Pacific start date is now Wednesday, December 8.
That’s one day before open access for the Caldera map, and the same day that early access begins for Vanguard owners.
Warzone’s servers will shut down from Tuesday, December 7 at 9pm PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT to Thursday, December 8 at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT to get things ready for Pacific.
Season One will introduce the first Battle Pass system across Vanguard and Warzone with up to 100 Tiers of items available to unlock.
In the run up to the release, players can relive the best Verdansk had to offer with the Operation Flashback LTM.
The Quads Battle Royale event “is all about celebrating Verdansk’s history with something new at the start of every circle” reads the blog post.
Participating will get you an exclusive Emblem and Calling Card.
