American Airlines Group Inc. on Tuesday said Doug Parker plans to retire as chief executive officer on March 31.

The Fort Worth, Texas, carrier said Robert Isom, who has been president since 2016, would succeed Mr. Parker as CEO on that date and will also join the board.
