What is the TikTok sad face filter?

The sad face filter growing in popularity on the video-sharing app is actually not native to TikTok, but rather to Snapchat.

Users who have Snapchat can open the app, head to the filters tab, and press explore.

Once in the search bar, simply type “crying.”

After recording your video with the sad face filter, just save the file to your camera roll.

Does TikTok have its own filters?

Aside from various face filters, TikTok also allows users to edit their video styles.

Filters allow you the option to invert (flip) the recording, add colors, or stick a fun augmented reality effect over the top of your video.

To access filters, open up the app and hit the “+” button at the bottom of your screen to create a post.

TikTok launched in 2017 for Apple and Android products in most markets outside of mainland China.

The app only became available worldwide when it merged with fellow Chinese social media service Musical.ly in 2018.
