Fans Wetherspoons‘ popular food menu will be no doubt be eager to try the new item.

It will be joining other popular burgers including the triple American cheese and bacon burger and the fried buttermilk chicken burger.

The new staple includes two crunchy southern-fried chicken strips, iceberg lettuce, a gherkin and Korean-style sauce.

And it’s accompanied by a lightly toasted brioche bun.

Together, when served with a small portion of chips, the meal has 712 calories.

If you’re buying it with a soft drink it will cost you £5.44.

If you fancy a pint with your meal then it’ll cost slightly more at £6.97.

But Wetherspoons said the burger is only around for a limited time.

The Sun has asked the chain how long the burger will be available for, and we’ll update this article once we hear back.

However, prices for the new burger will vary from pub to pub so it’s always best to check your local before paying.

You won’t find the burger on print out menus or online but it is available to order at the bar or on the Spoons app.

To find your nearest Wetherspoons head over to the website and use its handy locator tool.

Compared to the price of the fried buttermilk chicken burger which is already on the menu, the new offering appears to be a little cheaper with a soft drink.

The original costs £5.15 with a soft drink and £6.45 with an alcoholic one.

Wetherspoons is regularly updating and introducing offers to its food and drinks menu, as well as making other changes to its pubs.

The pub giant revamped its food offering for one week only in January in celebration of Burns Night.

As part of Veganuary, Spoons fans were also able to sample the new Beyond BBQ stack, which is a plant-based burger.

Spoons also tends to host events throughout the year when fans can grab their favourite drinks and meals for less.

Wetherspoons often publicise these events on their website, so be sure to check there in case one is coming near you soon.

You may also find leaflets with deals and events in your local boozer.

As well as its autumn festival, Wetherspoons also holds a 12-day Real Ale Festival every spring.

This year, it ran from March 6 to March 16.

Every year, Spoons holds its Tax Equality Day to highlight the benefits of a permanently reduced tax bill for the pub industry.

It usually takes place in September, and in 2023 it fell on September 14.

Wetherspoons is known for its meal deal offers that run all week long.

These include Tuesday’s Steak Club, the Thursday Curry Club and Fish Friday.

For example, a standard curry club meal with an alcoholic drink is between £8.55 and £9.19.

Outside of the deal, you would expect to pay around a fiver more for the same meal.
