What are the Wetherspoons opening times over the Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday?

Wetherspoons pubs will stay open until 1am during the bank holiday weekend.

Most pubs across England and Wales will be open till that time on June 2, 3 and 4, 2022.

Some will even stay open till 1am on Wednesday June 1.

However, Wetherspoons told us that “there has been no general extension of hours in Scotland and Northern Ireland”.

But Wetherspoons did confirm, that hours would be extended in Scotland. They said: “Some licensing boards in Scotland have approved longer hours and our pubs will be taking advantage of those hours.”

Some areas in Scotland were given an extra hour of opening time if they usually close later than 1am, and some pubs have been given the licence to remain open till 1am.

If you want to confirm which pubs will be able to take advantage of the extended hours, simply visit your local council’s website and it should indicate whether the pub in your area has permission or not.

Wetherspoons told us that all pubs will close at normal hours as everyone prepares to turn off holiday mode and prepare for Monday.

The majority of the pubs will close at midnight on a Sunday.

When are the Bank Holiday dates for 2022?

Brits will have enjoyed NINE bank holidays by the end of 2022.

The first was on January 3, 2022, followed by Good Friday and Easter Sunday before another bank holiday in May.

The Early May Bank holiday on May 2 was the last holiday Brits celebrated as they now head into a long weekend and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Brits have five more bank holidays in total left to take advantage of, these are:

  • June 2 – Spring Bank Holiday
  • June 3 – Platinum Jubilee Bank Holiday
  • August 29 – Summer Bank Holiday
