A MAJOR high street chain is giving away free Lego Harry Potter and Animal Crossing toys.
Smyths Toys is gifting the sets next weekend in an offer that has left parents rejoicing.
Harry Potter, Animal Crossing, and Friends Lego sets will be up for grabs on Saturday April 13 across all Smyths Toys stores from 9am and only while stocks last.
A press release said: “Build and create with Lego Friends, dive into the magical world of Lego Harry Potter, and explore the wonders of Lego Animal Crossing.”
The small sets will be given away in all the stores belonging to the retail giant as part of a “make and take event”.
Each child will be only able to take one set.

But it might not be children grabbing the sets, as most fans of the promotion on one Facebook group were adults asking whether they themselves could get it.
The adults commented on the Extreme Bargains UK Facebook page where the giveaway was announced.
One said: “Is this for kids only, asking for a friend.”
Another posted: “wdym per child? balls to that, i want one.”

A third commented: “It says per child but what about per adult.”
The toy giveaway is taking place at all of Smyths’ 118 stores across the UK.
The gift is worth around £4 and you don’t even have to make a purchase to get one – it’s completely free.
You can find your nearest Smyths toy shop by searching your postcode on the website.
The giveaway comes after Smyths Toys gave away free eggs during Easter.
Children had to complete an egg hunt around stores and could consult staff for hints.
Smyths also gave away Lego toys last year in a similar promotion after also doing it in 2019.
Back in 2019 the giveaway was in celebration of the new Star Wars and Marvel Avengers sets, it also coincided with the brand’s latest Harry Potter Lego, including Knight Bus, Hogwarts clock tower and the Triwizard Tournament set.
Legoland unveils new images and launch date of duelling rollercoaster after being forced to delay opening
LEGOLAND has confirmed the launch of its brand new £10million rollercoaster, which will open to the public this weekend.
Earlier this month, the opening of Minifigure Speedway, the theme park’s latest ride, was pushed back because of “unforeseen delays”.
The ride, which was set to launch on March 29, 2024, to coincide with the Easter holidays, was delayed.
At the time, fans of the theme park took to social media to express their frustration at missing out on the launch of the rollercoaster.
In a post on Facebook, one person wrote: “I’m gutted, we booked tickets especially for Friday.”
The theme park offered visitors the chance to change their booking if they had specifically chosen to visit to ride the Minifigure Speedway.
