B&M shoppers are rushing to buy an energy-saving gadget scanning for £10 instead of £45.

The discounter is known for selling produce on the cheap and one customer recently found a “brilliant buy” in their local store.

The retailer is selling a 1500W oil-filled radiator for just £10.

The heater comes with three heat settings and an adjustable thermostat and it comes on wheels so you can move around your home.

The shopper posted their find on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

They said: “B&M were selling these at £10 from £45 each.”

With a deal so good the shopper let others know she couldn’t leave the store with just one heater.

She said: “Needless to say I picked three up.”

Bargain hunters online were praising the shopper for her savvy find, others said they hoped to bag one too.

One user said: “Brilliant buy!”

“We need,” stressed someone else.

“We do,” replied another user.

It’s not likely you’ll find a similar model this cheap in other retailers as most typically cost between £30 and £50.

Currys is currently selling an Igenix 1.5kW oil-filled radiator for £49.99.

B&Q has an Oypla Electrical 1500W portable electric heater for £34.99 a little cheaper but nowhere near the B&M price.

Retailers tend to reduce items like this to clear stock in specific branches so you may not be able to find the deal in your local but it’s worth having a look.

The radiator isn’t in stock on B&M’s website so it might be worth calling your local branch ahead to see if they’ve got any.

Always remember to shop around when buying something like this as well as you might find something similar cheaper elsewhere.

You can use websites like Price Spy and Trolley to compare prices on thousands of products across different retailers.

The Google Product tab is helpful for running a quick scan across the internet too.

How to save money at B&M

Shoppers have saved hundreds of pounds a year by using B&M’s scanner app.

The scanner lets you see if an item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop floor label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift.

The app is free to download off the B&M Stores mobile app via Google Play or the Apple App Store.

According to one ex-B&M manager, you’ll want to visit your local branch at 10am on a Wednesday too.

What is the B&M scanner app?

SAVVY shoppers are using an app to find better discounts in stores.

Here’s how you can join the B&M bargain hunt:

  • Download the B&M app for free on any smartphone with an App Store or Google Play.
  • Once you’ve installed it on your device, click on the option labelled “more” on the bottom, right-hand side of the app home page.
  • You’ll then find an option that says “barcode scanner”. Click on this and you’ll open a camera screen.
  • Use the camera to hover over the barcode of the product you wish to check.
  • If the price comes up as lower, take it to the cash desk and it will automatically scan at the lower price.
  • You don’t need to sign up to the B&M app to use the barcode scanner.
