One reveller took to X to reveal that they were already piling their trolley high with one fan favourite.

“I just remembered that I’m an adult and can buy Cadbury Mini Eggs whenever I want,” they wrote.

The observation aroused the attention of the chocolatier, who responded: “We LOVE this for you!”

It comes after Cadbury sent fans’ hearts racing after revealing an exciting new flavour which would be made available for Easter, but which some eagle-eyed choc lovers spotted at convenience chain One Stop before Christmas.

They shared a post to the Facebook group Newfoodsuk, and other fans of the delicious Easter treat went wild.

A spokesperson for Cadbury said: “The secret is out! Cadbury Mini Eggs are evolving with the first-ever UK flavour development.

“Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange will launch for Easter 2024, with the same crunchy outer shell we know and love, but with an orange-flavoured chocolate centre, bound to get your taste buds tingling.

“Although Cadbury has been keeping this top secret, Cadbury Mini Eggs Orange will be appearing exclusively on shelves at Tesco Group, soon.”

Another mini egg related treat wowing shoppers is the classic Cadbury Mini Egg Twin Pot Dessert.

Usually only available in the Easter season, the scrumptious snack makes the perfect treat for mini egg lovers with the addition of the crisp, sugar-shelled chocolate drops.

With a milk chocolate pudding inside, the 75g pot encourages mixing the delicate eggs into the mousse to create a dreamy dessert.

Meanwhile, one chef showed his followers on TikTok how to make their own Creme Egg, which was praised by fans as looking “nicer than the bought ones”.

For the unlucky shoppers who failed to snag the limited edition treat, chef Johnny Marsh has shared how you can make one yourself at home.
