SIX neighbours who won a life-changing £1,000,000 jackpot are now planning how to spend their share of the cash.

The locals, in Seaton Burn, near Newcastle, Tyne and Wear, have pocketed £142,857 each after the win.

The locals won the cash after their tickets came up in the Postcode Lottery.

They’re now known as Millionaire Street after taking home the jackpot.

But beer buff Anthony collected £285,714 thanks to two winning tickets.

Anthony, who shares the winning postcode NE13 6DU with his neighbours, is now planning an overseas holiday with his partner.

The Labour councillor said: “We’ll definitely go on holiday and treat ourselves more than just scrimping and saving. But the first thing I want to do is get the garden done.

“When I got a new house I wanted to get a Postcode Lottery ticket for this address.”

Dad-of-one Mark and car finance worker Kay broke down when they received a cheque for £142,857.

Now Mark’s planning a family holiday and splashing out on his dream Ford Puma ST.

But when he got the call to say he’d won he originally blocked the number.

He said: “I got a phone call saying that I’d won a prize, but I blocked the number. I didn’t believe it. I just went to work this morning, but my wife called me to get back home.

“I still think I’m dreaming, that it’s not real.”

Kay added: “Mark thought it was a fake call, but it’s real and I never in a million years expected that much money. It means everything to us.”

Retired teacher Trevor and his partner Lee – who have 16 children and grandchildren between them – are planning a memory-lane trip to their first holiday destination with their £142,857 cheque.

Trevor said: “Our first holiday together was to Bali 30 years ago. Maybe this is a chance to go back.”

People’s Postcode Lottery Presenter Matt Johnson said: “The Seaton Burn winners were such a lovely little community, so happy for each other.

“The feelgood factor extends beyond them to the local charities and charities across the country who benefit from the players. Every time players buy a ticket, charities win.”

It comes after a group of lucky Brits who won a whopping £3.2m on the People’s Postcode Lottery revealed how they’ll splash the cash.

The huge prize was won by more than 1,000 locals on a Greater Manchester estate.

And a man who won £100,000 on the People’s Postcode Lottery says he’ll spend his winnings on a teeth op in Turkey to look like Rylan Clark.

Gav Meek, 46, shared a joint prize of £1m with eight neighbouring homes in the Nottinghamshire village of Boughton.
