MALTESERS are the lighter way to enjoy chocolate – literally – as they now have seven fewer honeycomb balls per bag.
It is the latest sweet treat to be hit by the so-called “shrinkflation” trend.
But they are not the worst offenders when it comes to sharing bags.
In the last five years, almost all chocolate and sweet treats have got smaller – some by up to 16 pieces per bag – as makers slash their contents.
