IF you worry about handing your iPhone over to anyone else in case they start snooping you may want to try this trick.
A popular TikTok video that’s nearing 75,000 likes has revealed how you can turn your iPhone Control Centre off so it can’t be accessed without Face ID or your passcode.
The video was posted by TikToker @ambre_skye, an account known for its useful iPhone tricks.
The video states: “Need more privacy? Go to settings > Face ID & Passcode.”
You’ll then need to enter your passcode before you can scroll down to a section called ‘Allow Access When Locked’.
Here you’ll find a number of options but the one the TikTok video points out is “Control Centre”.
The video instructs you to turn the toggle next to this off so it’s no longer green.
No Control Centre access means a snooper won’t get to see things like what music you’re listening to or any other app you may have attached to your Control Centre.
If you also want to avoid people seeing who you are texting then you can turn the toggle off next to Notification Centre.
Then, exit Settings and lock your iPhone.
The TikToker demonstrates this and tries swiping down on the phone.
Text on the screen reveals: “Now, no one can snoop your phone from the lock screen!”
You can also turn off Wallet in the same way for added privacy.
