Orders went live at the start of June, directly after the goods were announced.

The Constellation Edition for Starfield comes with a number of added extras that fans were eager to get their hands on.

This pricey edition comes with a Steelbook, a patch, and a wooden carving with a download code for the game.

However, the bulk of the £249 ($299) price tag comes from the smartwatch and case based on the one used in-game.

Fans loved the collector’s edition and rushed to pre-order it despite the high price.

But now it seems that many people are having their pre-orders cancelled, and could miss out on getting their game on the day.

From the messages people are writing on social media, it seems that Walmart is the source of the majority – if not all – of these cancellations.

People reported getting information that the cost of the pre-order had changed from $299 to $0.

When contacting the store, many received different messages, but some confirmed that the pre-order was indeed cancelled.

Walmart has come under a fair bit of scrutiny for this lately with others reporting similar issues with Funko Pops, and Pikmin 4 pre-orders.

However, even if you did not pre-order with Walmart it’s still important for people to check their emails for their pre-order status.

You can usually also do this on the store’s website to see if your pre-order is still valid.

Unfortunately, it’s not uncommon that retailers have to cancel pre-orders as they can sell more pre-orders than the number of games they will receive.

Many retailers will not cancel the order but instead delay shipment until they receive more stock.

This can still be troublesome for people who wish to play their new game on the day it is released.
