MCDONALD’S fans are being warned not to share pictures of their Monopoly stickers online as they could be stolen.
The fast food giant said sneaky followers could steal your prize if you post a picture with the Monopoly code clearly visible.

Winners of the McDonald’s Monopoly can cash in their prizes using a unique code on each sticker.
The code can only be used once – so if someone cashes yours in for you, you’re out of luck.

In 2019, a Twitter user claimed that their prize was stolen after they shared a picture of her code on social media.

They picked up a winning sticker that entitled them to either six chicken nuggets or a McChicken Sandwich.
The happy customer then took to Snapchat to show off her winnings – only for one of her followers to nab the code and cash in the prize before she had a chance.
In a statement shared at the time, McDonald’s said it advises that customers claim their prize before they share their game piece code online.
This year’s Monopoly returned on September 7 and will run for six weeks.

That means that the end date for this years promotional game will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
After that, the franchise gives winners a few more months to claim any prizes.
