CRISP lovers across the nation have been left “in tears and devastated” after realising Walkers discontinued a hugely popular flavour.

One upset customer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to ask the brand if they had really gotten rid of her favourite lunchtime snack.

Crisp fans have only just realised Walkers have discontinued their Beef and onion flavour

Katie Stark wrote to Walkers Crisps and asked: “Have you stopped making Beef and Onion Crisps?”

Alongside her question, she posted a meme of a dog with tears in its eyes, captioned: “Say it’s not true”.

To her surprise, Walkers responded to her tweet – but their answer was the opposite of what she was hoping for.

“Hi Katie,” they wrote, “sorry to say Beef & Onion was discontinued last year”.

After 37 people viewed the heart-breaking reply, Katie responded back: “Devastated…. why?” alongside a GIF of Spongebob Squarepants screaming at the sky.

Facebook page Crazy Bout Crisps also took to social media to share their disappointment that the flavour had been discontinued.

“So Walkers have confirmed to me that they have once more discontinued their Beef & Onion flavour crisps. Sad times,” they wrote.

Over 60 people took to the comment section to share how “gutted” they were.

One said: “Omg! One of my fav meaty flavours! How can prawn flavours crisps still be selling, against the delicious beef and onion ones? Walkers being em back please!”

Another commented: “I’m gutted, don’t understand why thay hav stopped doing beef and onion been munch8ng them for decades. They have done a sausage flavor there so horried”

One more added: “Gutted. They were my fav along with bacon, and chicken . Why oh why discontinue something that is voted the best. Everytime I take a liking to something it always gets taken off the market.”

It comes after Walkers axed a hugely popular crisp flavour for good and shoppers said their sandwiches are now ruined.

The brand told fans that it stopped making the Worcester Sauce flavour last month.

And in August, Walkers launched two new flavours after teaming up with a fast-food giant.

The snack giant introduced new flavours with Pizza Hut to bring pizza toppings to its Max Ridge crisps.
