Vogue publisher Conde Nast is ditching its Mayfair office after 65 years as it looks to modernise.

The publishing giant will move from the seven-storey Vogue House in Hanover Square to its Adelphi office in Embankment. The relocation could happen by January next year.

‘Leaving Vogue House will be hard,’ bosses told staff. ‘After many attempts to find a way to expand and redesign the space to meet our needs, there were just too many challenges to be able to do so.’

Owned by the Church of England, Vogue House has been a focal point for the fashion bible, seeing everyone from model Kate Moss to Princess Diana gracing its halls.

As the HQ of British Vogue, it is also where editor-in-chief of US Vogue and industry icon Anna Wintour (pictured with British Vogue boss Edward Enninful) started her career.

The media powerhouse, which also publishes titles The New Yorker and GQ, said its move reflects an ‘exciting evolution and transformation’.

The privately owned firm made a profit in 2021 on revenues of £1.6billion.
