VODAFONE went down this morning, leaving hundreds of customers unable to get online.

As many as 1,193 complaints were logged on the service checker, Downdetector earlier today.

Problems appear to have started at around 9.15am today (October 27) with customers from London to Glasgow struggling to get connected.

By 9.45am, complaints had breached 1,000, but by 10.45am the issue appeared to be restored.

Customers complained about issues with broadband and wi-fi and they took to Twitter to air their frustrations.

One customer on Twitter said: “Is there network issues this morning? I see DownDetector is reporting lots of issues with Vodafone services this morning, including my own broadband.”

Another said: “Mornin’. Hope you’re having a better one than our broadband. Vodafone sucks at service and customer service.”

And another: “Is Vodafone out in Colchester today? No broadband and the Vodafone app is not working?”

We asked Vodafone to confirm if the network was suffering from a broadband outage, but they failed to confirm the issue.

Customers can use Vodafone’s status checker on their website to see if the company is experiencing any service blips.

Vodafone services last suffered an outage in June, when hundreds of customers were left unable to send texts or connect to the internet.

Vodafone has a section on its website on how to complain to the network provider if you’re unhappy with your service.

It gives you steps to follow before offering you the alternative of ringing the complaints team on 0333 3040 441.

There’s also a live chat service or a form you can fill in.

Depending on your issue, you may be entitled to compensation or an account credit.

The best thing to do is to contact Vodafone and see if it can resolve your problems for you.
