Virgin Money is losing a raft of senior bankers on its top executive team amid a restructuring.
Gavin Opperman, director of business banking, is set to leave in March when his role vanishes.
The bank has created the positions of chief customer experience officer and chief commercial officer in its place. Lucy Dimes will be departing as the bank’s chief strategy and transformation officer – a position that will be removed from the leadership squad.

Other senior exits will include Kate Guthrie, who has been at the bank since 2016 as head of people and sits on the leadership team.

The lender was renamed from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banking Group after it acquired Virgin Money in 2018 for £1.7billion.
The bank shed 900 jobs and closed more than 56 branches last year as part of its cost-cutting plans.
