But before you rush to give yours a good wipe, there are a few things to be aware of.

You might think straight alcohol is a good move but this will actually damage it.
Apple says you should only use wipes with 70 percent isopropyl alcohol, 75 percent ethyl alcohol or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes to safely clean your device.
You must not use any products with bleach or hydrogen peroxide in it, as these are too strong and could damage the smartphone.
And it goes without saying, it’s really not a good idea to submerge your iPhone in any cleaning liquids.
Don’t forget, it’s also important to unplug all cables and turn off your iPhone before starting.

Aside from bleach and hydrogen peroxide products, there are some others that can do more harm than good.
While it’s OK to touch your iPhone after using a hand sanitiser gel, it’s not recommended to dab the liquid all over your device if it’s too strong on the alcohol front.
Similarly, window cleaner and vinegar are both a no-no, as this can destroy the protective coating on the phone.
What sort of cloth should I use to clean my iPhone?
Apple says the best type of cloth should be soft, slightly damp and lint-free.
A lens cloth is a good shout.
If there’s some material on your phone, use a soft, lint-free cloth with warm soapy water.
A paper towel might seem perfectly innocent, but if there is any debris on your device like grains of sand, this can actually create scratches.
