WHILE gaming releases tend to slow down over the holiday period, they are ramping up in full force now January has arrived.

Here are the biggest gaming releases coming this month.

One Piece Odyssey

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of One Piece, a new RPG will be released for the series.

Called One Piece Odyssey, the story has been written in collaboration with the original writer of the series.

Luffy and his crew find themselves stranded on a desert island and need to find a way to set sail once again.

One Piece Odyssey will be released on January 12 for PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Monster Hunter Rise

Originally released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive game, Monster Hunter Rise will now be ported to all current generation platforms.

The Sunbreak DLC will also be released on these platforms later in 2023.

Rise is the latest game in the Monster Hunter series, where players take down monsters and collect materials for crafting.

Monster Hunter Rise will be released on January 12 for PC, and on January 20 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S.

Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden

Following the release of Persona 5 Royal on multiple platforms, Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden are coming to a number of new systems.

Persona 3 Portable was originally released on the PSP and later ported to the PS Vita.

Persona 4 Golden was originally released for the Vita and later ported to PC via Steam. Both are remakes of Persona games originally released on the PS2.

P3P and P4G will be released on January 19, 2023, for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Steam and Nintendo Switch.

Fire Emblem Engage

A new entry in the Fire Emblem series is coming to Nintendo Switch towards the end of this month.

Engage is a tactical role-playing game where you recruit members to fight in battle, who can be taken down and removed from the game going forward.

Your relationships between each of the members of your team will determine how well they do in battle.

Fire Emblem Engage will release as a Nintendo Switch exclusive on January 20.

Forspoken

Delayed from last year, Forspoken will be released as a PlayStation console exclusive this month.

You play as Frey, a young woman who is transported to a magical world and given special powers.

It has been praised for its innovative movement options and impressive boss battles.

Forspoken will be released on January 24 for PS5 and PC.

Dead Space

A remake of the 2008 survival horror game Dead Space will be released later this month.

You play as Isaac Clarke, a man trapped in a spaceship with numerous mutated horrors.

Clarke must fight his way out, and find a way to rescue his partner with whom he’s lost contact.

Dead Space will launch on January 27 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
