CHOCOLATE junkies are on high alert after a rare and often illusive sweet treat has been spotted on shop shelves.
The snack was highly rated by sweet-toothed Brits who overloaded their baskets with them when they first hit stores in 2022.

The hard-to-find treat was posted on social media, on a popular Facebook group called New Foods UK.
The post reads: “Twix and Snickers Cookie Dough spotted at my local Budgens store.”
The Twix version hit headlines when choc-loving customers were offered sample boxes back in 2022.
They were so popular that they sold out in just three minutes.

Shortly after, Twix was forced put a stop to the samples as punters desperately tried to secure a box of them.
At the time, Twix wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Due to a high volume of interest, all samples of TWIX Cookie Dough were snapped up in less than three minutes this morning!
“We’ll be giving away a few extra boxes of TWIX Cookie Dough on our social channels over the next few days, so stay tuned.”
Brits have been hard-pressed to find the snack since, so when it was posted on Facebook – with the location – Brits were ecstatic with the news.

And cookie dough fans can now get their hands on a Snickers flavour too.
One user said: “I want the Twix one but never heard of that shop.”
While a second user tagged their friend and said: ” If they have them I beg you buy me a tub of each.”
And a third said: “I need the snickers one.”
Budgens – perhaps often overlooked – has been operating in the UK since 1872 and currently stands as one of the oldest supermarket brands Blighty has to offer.
In it’s recent history it was bought by Booker Group – which was then bought by Tesco – and still has hundreds of stores open across the UK.
Brits all over the country have been treated to new chocolate releases over the last few months – and all of them seem to be primed ready for an indulgent Easter holiday next month.
Earlier this year Cadbury announced it’s chocolate orange edition of their famous Mini Eggs.
