THIS city-centre studio could be yours for £4,600 a month – but there’s a catch.

The industrial decor of this “unusual home” right by Old Street tube station in East London could make one lucky renter very happy.

But those looking for the solo London-living experience might get a bit of a shock when they look inside.

The property was converted from a garage – and the next tenant will be sleeping right next to its old double doors.

In the photos, the bare floors and white walls seem to retain the building’s appearance of a storage space.

And the metal kitchen cabinets and grey tiled bathroom appear a little bit cold.

Windows on three sides of the garage offer plenty of natural light, and roller blinds are also installed for complete privacy.

But the previous tenant’s taste in interior design adds a quirkiness and pop of colour to the home.

The upcycled dining table and unique bottle light fitting both give a funky feel to the kitchen which is fully equipped.

More glowing lights brighten the sitting area, where monocrome artwork softens the garage.

The home also has plenty of re-used goods and remnants of its past, including a dark wood book case which divides the room.

The mismatch decoration and furniture give real character to the home, which is located near a historic area of haberdashers.

The listing on Zoopla reads: “A bit of a riff on the location and nature of the building – the next street being Haberdasher Street and this building formerly pertained to the Haberdasher Estate.

“The London Guild of haberdashers … sold this building to its former owners, who had been tenants running a business from this workshop.

“The oversize dark wood book case dividing the room was salvaged from a nearby Haberdashery store.

“The light industrial nature of the building is reflected in the dining table being a salvaged work bench.

“Two of the dining chairs are from a bespoke commission of a celebrated Mexican architect.

“The black sofa is extremely comfortable, designed by Terrace Woodgate and still sold at scp around the corner on Curtain Road.”

Ironically, the advert also reads that parking is guaranteed.

The studio is for rent through Homelike.

All bills and utilities are included in the monthly price but viewings are not available.
