A ONE-BED flat on the market for £115,000 has been widely mocked online – for a very good reason.

The property in Glasgow, Scotland appears to be quite a steal on first glance.

But eagle-eyed house hunters will quickly notice a strange addition to the room.

And those who aren’t confident of their gymnastic ability should skip a viewing altogether.

That’s because the bed can be found on a raised platform above the sofa – and the only way to get into it is by climbing up the side of a set of shelves.

The bizarre layout has been described by dangerously optimistic estate agents as “versatile”.

The ad reads: “Attractive feature fireplace, solid wood flooring and recessed area, currently with bed.”

The listing has since gone viral – with plenty of social media users lining up to poke fun at the room.

One said: “Every time I start to miss living in Glasgow, Rightmove gives me a reality check.

“I used to live on this street. £115k for a studio flat is mental.”

One user replied: “At least you can get three couches in there.”

The original poster hit back: “Sleep on one, watch TV on the other.

“Mind my old flat, that went for £180,000! And they want £115,000 for this.”

Another quipped: “Studio flat – as in one room to live and sleep in, with a separate bathroom and kitchen?

“That’s insane.

“How can anyone be expected to take out a 25-year mortgage for that?

FRIGHT MOVE

“Or is the idea for it to be resold every few years, for a higher price?”

Others pointed out the strange addition of three sofas.

“Envisioning sitting on the green couch to watch TV and your awkward new roommate sits on the red couch,” one said, before a second user added: “There’s a blue sofa as well.”

The property is being sold by Moving Estate Agents and is on Rightmove.

The listing continues: “Traditional red sandstone top-floor middle flat set in extremely popular spot within Thornwood conveniently placed for West End.

“Transport links, easy access to motorway networks, Clyde tunnel, West End, shopping, acclaimed restaurants and bars, and retail park with a superb range of popular high street stores all close by.

‘IT’S INSANE’

“The flat retains original features and will appeal to first time buyers and investors alike.

“The versatile layout can be adapted to suit the individual purchaser.”

Anyone looking to get onto the property ladder for the first time will know how difficult it can be – especially on a budget.

The new owner of a tiny London studio flat will face climbing a builder’s ladder to a lofty nook in order to go to bed at night.

Meanwhile, a studio flat in Clapham is going under the hammer for the dirt cheap price of £50,000 – because the tiny home is smaller than the average parking space.

It’s so teeny there’s no room for appliances, and the current owner stashes the microwave under the bed.
