A thrifty shopper has shared how she got a TV worth £1,700 completely free.
Laura Dawe, from Bristol, managed to bag a Hisense ULED 4K Smart 65′ TV without paying a penny.

The 36-year-old photographer said she writes reviews for products she buys whenever she shops online.
This led Reevoo, a market research company, to approach her about writing reviews on brands who are their clients, Dawe told Latestfreestuff.co.uk.
A few weeks later, a brand new free TV showed up at her front door, she said.
How to get money off a TV

- Sign up to newsletters – Subscribe to emails from TV brands and retailers like Currys or PC World as a way to keep an eye our for deals and offers.
- Follow TV brands on social media– Some brands share sales, deals and discounts as well as callouts for for new testers on their social media platforms.
- Search for discount codes – If you spot a TV you like, Google whether there are any discount codes available for the product online.
- Keep an eye out for sales – Look out for the launch of sales as well as discounts on older models to get in their first before stock runs out.
- Check deals and freebie websites – Regularly check websites like Hotukdeals.com, Latestdeals.co.uk, Latestfreestuff.co.uk and Magicfreebiesuk.co.uk
- Go through cashback sites – Hunt through cashback sites like Quidco.com and Topcashback.co.uk to see if you can get any money back when you purchase a TV.
Now, she has shared her tips on how aspiring freebie hunters can create opportunities to get amazing deals like this £1,700 TV.
Dawe said you should “shop online and always leave reviews” to be in with a chance of getting free products.
She also said joining Facebook groups is the most effective way to find out about the latest promotions and best opportunities around.
Free Stuff, Samples & Coupons UK Group and Free Beauty Products, Samples & Giveaways UK are two she recommends people join.
Dawe also explained how she managed to get the free TV through Reevoo.
The company collects reviews of products from shoppers for both its clients and brands doesn’t yet work with.
If you buy a product from one of its clients, you should receive an email from Reevoo about a month later.
It will include a questionnaire on how you’re finding the product.
Clients include a vast range of brands like Panasonic, Honda, British Airways and BT with the full list found on Reevoo’s website.
How to become a super tester
HERE are our top tips for making sure companies keep sending you freebies time and time again:
- Answer lots of surveys – The more surveys you complete, the more chances you have to be sent free stuff.
- Be quick – There’s normally a limited number of samples, so if a product testing opportunity arrives in your inbox that you like the look of – move quickly!
- Set up a dedicated email address – If you’re going to sign up to loads of sites, you don’t want the emails clogging up your usual inbox. Set up a dedicated account specifically for surveys and freebies, and remember to check it each morning.
- Give proper reviews – When you are sent products to review, make sure you do a thorough job. If you just leave empty boxes or say it was “fine” you’re less likely to be asked again.
- Only select products you’re interested in – It’s easy to get caught up in the hype of getting freebies, but if you sign up for a cat food test and you don’t have a cat, you’re only wasting your own time.
- Follow brands you love on Facebook – Some brands (Revlon and L’Oreal are two examples) periodically look for new testers. Follow your favourite brands on social media to be first in the know when they want testers or offer up freebies.
- Be professional – Check your spelling and grammar carefully, so brands can use anonymous quotes in marketing.

For those who’ve bought something that’s not from a Reevoo client, you can still send them a review.
To do this, you need to email [email protected], telling them what you want to review as well as a proof of purchase, like a receipt or confirmation email.
Dawe said she sent Reevoo a review for a Currys washing machine that she had previously purchased in the hopes that she might be sent a different product to review for free.
“I was trying my luck,”, she said, adding that it certainly paid off.
She then received an email from Reevoo asking if she would like to review Hisense TV.
She said: “They asked me to fill in my information about household income, what size TV I already own and to write my home address.
“After 2-3 weeks I received a call from Hisense and they told me, that the TV will be delivered in 2 days time.”
It’s important to note that you will need to purchase a product in order to send a review to Reevoo.
There is also no guarantee that you be chosen to review a product or asked to review a high-end freebie that you actually want.
So before you part with your cash, you should apply to review a new product you’ve recently already bought.
Otherwise, make sure you buy something that you actually need or want before reviewing it for Reevoo.
Otherwise, you may find yourself out of pocket and without a freebie that made the original purchase worth it.
