Here’s how it works . . .
SWAP SHOP: There are pop-up swap shops and events across the country.
Most events usually allow you to bring a certain number of items, which are then traded in for tokens or vouchers.
The amount of tokens you are given will typically depend on the value of the item you bring, which is often gauged by the brand.

Most events will only accept items that are in good wearable condition.
Vouchers can then be exchanged for other items at the event.
Eventbrite is a good place to search for one local to you.
The “clothesswap” hashtag on Instagram also brings up information on local events.
Most are free to attend or you may have to pay a small ticket fee.

The most popular events often sell out so grab a ticket when they become released.
GIVE AND TAKE: Chances are many of your friends have similar taste in clothing, so organising a swap event with them could be an easy way to revamp your style.
You could host at home and ask everyone to bring a snack to make an evening of it.
Simply set a bracket for the value of items and consider introducing a minimum number of items to make sure there is plenty to choose from.
SOCIALS LIFE: You don’t have to meet in person to swap clothes.
There are a number of social media groups set up for this very purpose.
Try The Great British Clothes Swap on Facebook with more than 22,000 members.
You can agree with other members what is a fair swap.
And if you are looking for something specific, you can put up posts asking members.
