The supermarket chain was formed in 2014 and has more than 150 stores across the UK, offering great value deals on a range of foods including brand names.

These stores are usually larger outlets than Iceland and offer bigger pack deals and bulk buy offers, making it the ideal option for families wanting to stock up for less.

To find your nearest store you can use the online store locator on the website, where you will also find opening times and other information such as wheelchair accessibility.

The Food Warehouse outlets are most likely to be found in out-of-town locations such as retail parks, and most benefit from free customer parking.

We had a look at some of the offers available in-store and online to see what the best savings were and what items could be left on the shelf.

Multibuys

Definitely worth looking at is the multi-buy offers available in-store.

Most supermarkets have these types of promotions but they are usually confined to a “buy two get one free” within a brand or range of products.

At The Food Warehouse, you can mix and match across your whole shop just by looking out for the relevant stickers in-store or online.

Buying into a 3 for £5 deal would mean that each product costs £1.67.

An example of this would be 2L Pepsi Max (£2.00), 2 Chicago Town Deep Dish pizzas (£1.75) and Ma Raeburn’s Pancakes (£2.30).

Buying as part of the 3 for £5 deal would give a saving of £1.05 against the cost of buying the items individually.

They also have a 3 for £3 deal and a 3 for £10, items are grouped into different offers based on their original value.

Bulk buys

For larger families or business owners who are prepared to buy in bulk, it is definitely worth a visit to The Food Warehouse.

As well as the competitive pricing some products can also be snapped up as a multibuy.

We picked out some of the best offers on the bigger items.

A 22 multipack of Walkers classic crisp variety is priced at £4.75, if bought as part of a multi-buy the price is reduced to £4.50.

This product is also part of a mix-and-match deal where you can get 2 for £9.00.

Large packs of crispy chicken breast dippers with approx 50 in a bag are priced at £3.75.

When bought as part of a multibuy, shoppers can get the dippers for £3.34, or as part of a 3 for £10 mix-and-match offer.

Both branded and Iceland’s own label products are included in the various offers.

Online exclusives

As well as heading to your local store to get your hands on a bargain, it is also worth having a look online as there are many online exclusive offers that could save you some money on your favorite brand.

We spotted Robinsons 1.75L fruit squash in various flavours available on a 3 for £6.00 offer.

The usual price is £2.50 per bottle, meaning a saving of £1.50 if you are able to buy in bulk.

Branded biscuits such as McVities shortcake and ginger nuts are available on a mix and match 5 for £5.00 deal.

The original price of these biscuits is £1.50 meaning if bought as part of the deal there is a saving of £2.50 if bought separately.

What to avoid

The prices on basic items such as bread, milk and eggs were not showing huge savings compared to other retailers.

10 large eggs in The Food Warehouse were priced at £1.99 at the time we checked, and Lidl was showing slightly cheaper at £1.79.

Kingsmill thick tasty wholemeal is priced at £1.35 on The Food Warehouse website and the same loaf is priced at £1.30 in Asda.

4 pints of whole milk was showing as being discounted from £1.65 to £1.55 with The Food Warehouse, this matched up with Tesco and Saindbury’s pricing.

If you are a larger family or a business, or just someone who prefers to buy in bulk it is definitely worth a trip to The Food Warehouse as there are some great deals to be had when buying multiple items and larger pack sizes.
