THIS three bed home may look like a normal house from the outside but it is hiding a WILD secret.

The property gives no indication of its hidden gem at first look, with a pebble dash wall giving off an ordinary appearance.

But walking into the garden shows a different side of the family home – which is decorated head to toe with exotic plants.

Retired telecoms worker Rick Stock has been building up his garden with various plants – creating his own personal jungle.

The 30 metre long garden is filled with palm trees, two ponds and an array of different plants which make him feel like he’s relaxing in a tropical forest.

Rick, 67, has put his heart and soul into his garden since 1991.

But now the-grandad-of two is ready to hang up his hose as his house in Leicester, East Mids, is up for sale.

Rick said: “My garden is an obsession that has got out of hand. If it’s not raining, then I am in there every day.

“There is always something to do. I have four palm trees – one is worth £600 now.

“Along with cactus plants, two ponds and a seating area.”

His garden also includes Aloe Picatilis which is unique with its fan-like leaf arrangement.

You will also find vibrant Brugmansaier plants and a Paw Paw tree in his wild back garden.

Rick even has a shed which is covered in tropical-themed memorabilia as well as ornaments hanging from his trees.

He has strung up flags to go over the top of his garden, to accentuate the plotted plants in the patio area.

Rick’s special detached house is on the market for £320,000, waiting to be snapped up by a lucky buyer.

Rick added: “People passing by would never know about the stunning back garden.

“It is an acquired taste but appreciated by everyone.

“A few years ago, I had a 20 metre banana tree and a stranger knocked on to come and have a look.

“People are often in awe with my garden, it’s a great place to socialise.

“I hope my garden helps the property sell.

“It does require a lot of upkeep but it is a fantastic hobby to have.

“If I’m not watching Leicester F.C, I am watching a gardening show or in the back yard.

“It’s my passion and I will be sad to say goodbye but I’m sure the buyer will be happy to have it.”
