A QUALITY Street fan blasted the popular chocolate brand for their new wrappers – and swore off them for good.

One woman called out the company for ruining her festive cheer after axeing their shiny packaging – and rated them a “zero out of 10” before slamming the tin lid shut.

The former Quality Street lover expressed her betrayal in a comical video shared on TikTok, which has since circulated across social media as Brits join in on the boycott.

In the viral clip, the woman said: “I never thought I would be reduced to this. I have just opened a tin of Quality Street for probably the 60th time in my life – and what I’ve found inside is a travesty.

“This is a travesty I will never, Quality Street, purchase this product ever again.

“And you can take that and put it where you like.

“Our whole family, every year has enjoyed Quality Street in its shiny wrappers, especially the purple ones – now who wants to eat this piece of garbage.

“Quality Street – zero out of 10 for festive cheer. You can put your chocolates where the sun never shines.”

“I wasn’t impressed either”, penned one disappointed customer on social media.

“Totally agree – that’s not Christmas in a tin”, wrote another let-down shopper.

While a third added: “There’s no Quality in these new Quality Streets.”

The popular brand actually axed their iconic shiny wrapping paper in 2022 as a move to become more environmentally friendly.

In a previous Facebook post to celebrate Recycle Week, Quality Street wrote: “We’re celebrating a positive change this Recycle Week, now your favourites are wrapped in recyclable paper.

“What colourful crafts and quality creations will you be making next with your wrappers? Recycle Now.”

But fans weren’t impressed with the change.

One said: “Don’t like the new wrappers, afraid they just get binned, before I could use them for crafting.”

While another added: “The shiny wrappers were nicer and they were compostable.”

A third person commented: “So disappointed that the wrapping has been changed. Bring back the tins and get rid of the plastic tubs!”

The Sun contacted Quality Street for comment.

This comes as Cadbury lovers were also stunned when Roses admitted one of the nation’s favourite flavours will be scrapped.

One post on X said: “Anyone else discovering a distinct lack of Orange Creme’s in tubs of Cadbury Roses? Shocker! What’s going on @CadburyUK?”

Cadbury’s official X account replied sadly confirmed: “Hi, this year, a small percentage of Cadbury Roses products will not contain any Orange Cremes due to supply chain challenges.

“But don’t worry, you’ll still be able to enjoy the same amount of chocolate as usual as we’ve replaced them with our much-loved Strawberry Cremes.”

Meanwhile, other shoppers were crying “that SUCKS!” – after the company confirmed the “best chocolate bar it’s ever made” has been discontinued.
