SHOPPERS are raving about a powerful Android smartphone most people have never heard of.

The device is made by Chinese firm Nubia, which has previously recruited footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, 39, to promote the virtually unknown brand.

Nubia’s latest handset, the Z60 Ultra 5G, has been largely praised for its mega battery and excellent cameras among professional reviewers.

And everyday users who already own the smartphone have shared a similar positive reaction.

“It lasts me two days with heavy use, charged to full yesterday afternoon at 12pm, and was still on 43% 20 mins ago when i charged it again, but only because i was going out,” one buyer wrote on HotUKDeals.

Another user on Reddit who has had it for over a month said: “There’s not really anything I dislike, if I’m pressed to find one it’s just the feeling of the volume buttons are diff to Samsung and I often press up instead of down but like I said, if I’m pressed to find something I dislike!

“It’s a great phone and I’m very happy, battery is class! Game space and how you can change settings is a great edition too.”

Nubia Z60 Ultra 5G – the techy bits

The Nubia Z60 Ultra 5G was only announced in December and there’s already a discount.

Its battery is one of the standout features at a whooping 6000mAh, which dwarfs the iPhone 15 Pro Max‘s 4441mAh.

Not only that, the phone supports 80W wired fast charging so you can get a lot of juice onboard within a short space of time.

But all that power comes at a cost – and by that we mean weight. The Z60 Ultra 5G is a chunky 246g, which is 25g heavier than the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The device has 256GB and is run on the very latest premium Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which should keep things super smooth.

There are three cameras on the back for your pictures – including a 50-megapixel primary snapper, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.

“80W charging makes it more or less the perfect phone for battery,” the user added.

At the moment, the handset is available on AliExpress for £503.26.
