Apple fans are just a few weeks away from getting their hands on the new iPhone 15 and operating system iOS 17 – but there are several major features that will not be available on launch.
Users can expect even more accurate autocorrect, live voicemail transcripts, customized wallpaper and more.
But on Apple’s website is fine print next to four of the anticipated features that read: ‘Coming later this year.’
These include AirDrop over the internet, an update to Apple Music and one app geared at mental health.

Apple will add an update to Apple Music that mirrors Spotify but allowing users to create shared playlists

Some iOS features launching next month

Many users have complained that their words are autocorrected incorrectly, but the new system adds a new language model that has a more accessible shortcut to go back to the original word if the system gets it wrong.
And now, dictation also uses a new AI-powered model.
Apple is also making a small but mighty change to Siri in the new iOS 17 – users can drop the ‘Hey’ and only need to say ‘Siri’ to activate the virtual assistant.
The change has been a sought-after feature of iOS fans, and it seems Apple has finally listened to their demand.
