The popular flavour is part of the Specially Selected range and one Aldi shopper posted a picture of the bags stacked up in the Specialbuys aisle.

The post quickly racked up more than 2k comments and 900 likes with eager crisp fans excited to get their hands on a bag.

One person said: “OMG I wrote an email last month asking for them to bring them back.”

Another added: “They are so nice I was waiting for them to come in again.”

While a third commented: “Oh my word.”

The crisps were first launched in July last year, but it’s not yet clear when they disappeared from shelves.

The crisps are priced at £1.09 for a 150g pack but you better be quick if you want to grab a bag.

Items on the specialbuys aisle don’t stick around for long, although fans are calling for the crips to be a permanent fixture.

One shopper said: “Spotted them in my local Aldi yesterday – bought a stash of them! They should definitely be a permanent fixture.”

If you miss out, Sainsbury’s is currently selling 110g bags of cheese and garlic bread crisps by Bon Chance for a pricier £1.95.

Shopping discounts – How to make savings and find the best bargains

As well as the garlic bread flavour, Aldi has also launched two other new flavours.

Crisp aficionados have the choice of pizza margherita and ndjua spiced flavours, also priced at £1.09 for a 150g pack.

What are Aldi Specialbuys?

Aldi introduces new Specialbuy items to its middle aisles every Thursday and Sunday.

It is not always food, it can be anything from DIY, kitchenware, and garden furniture to sports and camping equipment.

Shoppers cannot purchase any Specialbuys online – they are only available in stores and you can find your nearest Aldi by using the store locator tool on the website.

You can browse through Specialbuys by picking up a leaflet in-store, browsing the digital leaflet or signing up to the email list to get a sneak preview.

But remember once it is gone, it’s gone, so you do need to be quick if you want to pick up a bargain.

Meanwhile, we all know that Aldi is great for dupes and we have six of the best that could slash your shop by £13.

How to save on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
