WAGAMAMA is planning to open 72 of its restaurants to provide outside dining from April 12.
Under Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown, restaurants with outdoor seating are allowed to open up from then.

The roadmap is subject to various conditions including the continued success of the vaccination roll out and evidence that the jabs are effective at reducing hospitalisations and deaths.
Infection rates must not overwhelm the NHS and as long as new variants are not a threat, then unlocking the country can go ahead as planned.
Wagamama says that the 72 restaurants that will be opening is around 50% of its total estate.
Wagamama has never taken bookings and the chain says it’s not going to start now. Instead you just need to turn up and you will be seated quickly and safely.
Under current government plans indoor dining will only be allowed after May 17 when Wagamama says it will look at re-opening the remainder of its restaurants.
Timeline for businesses reopening after lockdown
PRIME Minister Boris Johnson has outlined his roadmap for easing England out of lockdown.
Businesses will be allowed to reopen on the following dates, as long as the “four steps to freedom” are met.

Vegan fans will also be able to try some of the Wagamama’s new vegan range for the first time ever – including vegan chilli squid.
A Wagamama spokesperson said: “We’ve got some incredible new dishes for guests to try. We announced in January that we had developed our biggest vegan range ever… but with some of these dishes not being suitable for our delivery and click + collect menu, guests are yet to try them.”
Wagamama will continue to offer delivery and click + collect at all of their currently trading restaurants.

Scotland is working to a different timetable, but Wagamama is gearing up to open doors on April 26.
There are four restaurants that will be ready to open located in: Glasgow Fort, Edinburgh Fort Kinnaird, Edinburgh St Andrews and Livingston.
What businesses are already open?
Essential retailers – for instance those that sell food, medicine or building supplies – have been allowed to stay open throughout the third lockdown.
This means you don’t have to wait to take a trip to these stores – you can go now, but make sure you’re looping your visit in with an essential journey.
