AS the nation gears up for the Euro 2020 games, Brits are preparing their shopping lists to keep fed and watered through the matches.
Fans were left gutted after the football tournament was cancelled last year due to Covid, but can now make it a game to remember by bagging cheap grub and booze.
The Sun has found out which shops are offering the best prices for match staples like Stella, burgers, bangers and crisps.
We found that supermarkets were running low on some types of beer, so you might want to get a move on and buy yours to beat the pre-game rush.
Here’s a round-up of what we put in our online shopping trolley – and which shop was selling what for less.
But before you part with your cash, make sure to compare prices online.
As shops can change prices all the time, you might find these items have done up – or down – by the time you get to the till.
Cheapest beer deals
If you’re planning on watching the footie at home, then you’ll want to know which supermarkets are selling the cheapest beer before heading to the shops.
When The Sun compared prices of crates of Kronenberg, Becks, and Stella, we discovered you could be forking out up to nearly a fiver more if you didn’t check prices.
Here’s where to head to buy your booze ahead of kick off:
Beck’s
Here’s how much each supermarket is selling 20 bottles of Becks for.
If you want the best deal, head to Asda, where you can 20 bottles for the same price as 15 at £10.
Sainsbury’s doesn’t sell larger crates of Beck’s online – the largest packs it sold were six bottles for £4.50.
Morrisons had run out of Beck’s completely.
Kronenbourg
We compared prices of 10 can packs of Kronenbourg across the big shops, and spotted Morrisons was flogging them the cheapest.
Tesco and Sainsbury’s had sold out of these sized crates online when we checked.
Stella Artois
If you’re stocking up on Stella, head to Co-op for the best deal.
It’s selling the cheapest packs of 10 cans at £9.95, followed by Asda, who’s flogging them for £10.
