SNACK lovers are rushing to Aldi for a dupe of a popular discontinued McDonald’s snack and fans say it’s better than the original.

McDonald’s fans were not pleased to learn the mozzarella dippers were axed from the menu last week with five other items to make way for the fast food chain’s new autumn menu.

One Aldi shopper took to Facebook to share the dupe she had spotted in Aldi stores.

In the Aldi Shopper UK group, she said: “If you’re into McDonald’s mozzarella dippers I’d definitely recommend these.”

“£2.19 for 12. Cheaper (and better according to my son!). Chucked in the air fryer and ready in 7/8 minutes,” she added.

The post racked up over 50 likes and fellow group members said they would be picking up the dippers on their next weekly shop.

One user said: “Not into anything McDonald’s to be honest but I will try these with maybe some chutney?”

“My granddaughter loves these. Must look out for some,” said another.

A third user said: “They look the same size as McDonald’s all the ones I find are little. Will try these.”
