ALDI has sparked a spice war by launching yet another cheeky lookalike budget snack.
The cut-price supermarket is selling its own cheaper version of Pot Noodle’s popular Bombay Bad Boy — and called it Mumbai Mad Boy.
Aldi’s version is the same 114g size and sells for 85p, compared to £1.40 for the noodle original.
The move has left customers in hysterics, with one shopper posting online: “This is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Pot Noodle’s gonna be upset!”
Another added: “Love it when @AldiUK do this! I’m quite fond of a #potnoodle Bombay Bad Boy…. So hats off to Aldi’s Mumbai Mad Boy. Great stuff!”
And a third chipped in: “This is peak Aldi. I don’t think I could love them more.”

Aldi previously sparked a legal war with Marks & Spencer over its own lookalike version of the M&S Colin the Caterpillar cake, which it called Cuthbert.
Other own brands include Nutella lookalike Nutoka and Aero choc bar clone Bubbly.
Mumbai Mad Boys, part of the Bramwells Express Mega Snack Noodles range, are described as: “Dried noodles in a hot curry flavour sauce with vegetables and a sachet of hot chilli sauce.”
YouTuber Gareth Morgan, known as the Bald Foodie Guy, has reviewed one.

He told fans: “I’ve had the Bombay Bad Boy and they do hit out a lot of heat.
“Heat-wise, I don’t think it’s as hot, but you could always add some more chilli sauce.
“It’s even got peas in here, so I’m getting some healthy vegetables. If you want to save a few quid, then try it.”
Golden Wonder launched Pot Noodle in 1977.
It quickly became a staple food for students and was bought by Best Foods for around £200million in 1995.
Unilever took it on in 2000.
Aldi and Unilever were approached for comment.
