Coming on top for jobs not requiring a degree were scrum masters, who earn an average of £77,241 a year.

While it sounds like it has something to do with rugby, it actually involves motivating and mentoring a scrum team – a tech team which uses a type of management system.

Night jobs were also popular, with night nurses in second place at £39,737 a year and cleaners in 11th place at £23,860.

Night nurses will usually work in a hospital, care home, or private home setting.

With Christmas and the holiday travelling season approaching too, jobseekers were also looking for typical seasonal roles in August as well.

These included delivery drivers earning £27,368 a year, airport baggage handlers on £23,654 and parcel sorters raking in £23,044 a year.

Best of all, these positions won’t require formal educational qualifications, but you’ll likely need some training.

Andrew Hunter, co-founder of job search engine Adzuna, said: “Side jobs and full-time jobs that ride with massive trends like AI and flexible working are winning the popularity contest among jobseekers.

The key to a good CV

The first impression your potential employer will get of you is from the layout of your CV, so be sure to make yours stand out.

It should be clear to read, with appropriate headers and in a decent-sized font.

You should also avoid “fun” fonts such as Comic Sans as they’re hard to make out and aren’t very professional.

You’ll also want to use words that are appropriate for applying to a professional role.

Plus, it goes without saying that your CV should be clear of typos and grammatical mistakes.
