A HIGH street favourite is set to shut its doors for good leaving shoppers disappointed.
Damaged Society in Newport, Wales, is currently holding a closing down sale.
The retailer has 13 stores and according to its website aims to bring customers “brands and merch” they cannot find anywhere else.
It opened up the store on Friars Walk in Newport in September 2021 and has been a popular fixture in the town.
The business opened its first store in Derby in 2012 and therefore has only last year celebrated its 10th birthday.
However, local news outlet the South Wales Argus has reported its store in Newport is having a closing down sale.

While it has not been confirmed when the store will close its doors for good, locals have been taking to social media to express their disappointment.
One person said: “Not happy to read this – mind and my daughter’s favourite shop”.
Another added: “That didn’t last long. Like everything else in Newport centre.”
While a third said: “They need to have shops with better prices, just have more realistic prices and they won’t have to close.”

If shoppers want to get their Damaged Society fix, the nearest store is Cardiff, there is also a store in Bristol.
The Sun has reached out to Damaged Society for comment.
Other shops closing in December
The cost of living crisis and high inflation are all taking their toll on retailers and consumers.
People are thinking twice about what they spend their hard-earned cash on, leaving some retailers with no choice but to close.
It is not only smaller independent retailers that finding it hard either, big name stores are also shutting up shop.
Shops including Poundland, New Look and Homebase are among those pulling the shutters down for the final time in December.
Clothing retailer New Look closed down six shops in January and February, and three more in October.
Its most recent closure was its Shirley branch in Southhampton which shut for the final time on December 2.
However, despite this, the retailer recently opened stores in Grimsby and Leicester.
DIY giant Homebase has closed 93 stores since being taken over by Hilco Capital in 2018.
Its most recent closures were locations in Banbury, Finchley and Plymouth.
Fashion brand Lacoste has 20 stores located across the UK, however, it closed the doors for the final time at its Leicester branch on December, 3.
As well as closing down stores some retailers have been opening up in new locations recently.
Bargain chain Poundland took on 71 Wilko sites as part of its expansion plans after its rival collapsed into administration in August.
Ex-Wilko sites have now opened up as Poundland in locations such as Newcastle, Leicester and Leeds and more are expected to follow.

Bonmarche is also opening at least seven new stores after filing for administration in 2019.
Meanwhile, The Sun recently revealed discount retailer Costco is expanding in the UK and is planning to open 14 more warehouses over the next two years.
