The cosy wearable blanket is a must if you are trying to keep yourself warm at home and not spend a fortune on heating.

One savvy shopper posted a picture of the winter essential in a fun avocado print to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.

The item was originally priced at £19.50 but has been reduced to just £6 in the sale.

It is unclear which branch has the offer, so if you are thinking of rushing to your local remember there is no guarantee it will be in all stores.

Eager shoppers were quickly tagging their friends in the post and some had already managed to snap up the bargain.

One person said: “OMG I need one.”

Another commented: “I got the Disney one.”

While a third added: “I got the sloth one yesterday for £6.”

Another person remarked that it was “defo worth a trip to Tesco at the moment” as she had picked up a Playmobil toy for £20 down from £50.

Sale shopping is tempting, but remember that you are only saving money if it is something you need in the first place.

If you are buying something just because it is on offer you are not necessarily saving money.

Also, it is good to shop around too especially at this time of year as prices and stock levels can change daily.

While we think that £6 for an Oodie will be a hard price to beat we did have a look around online to see what other retailers are offering.

At the time we checked Dunelm was the next cheapest as they have a Cockapoo print version in the sale at £12.50.

Marks and Spencer also has a “Snuggle Borg” hooded blanket reduced from £33 down to £20.

John Lewis also has a pink lounge Hoodie in the sale down from £38 to £19.

Remember that you can often get more choice in the actual store, so it is worth keeping an eye out while you are out.

Meanwhile, shoppers have been rushing to buy a £3 energy-saving essential from Home Bargains to dry washing at super speed.

Elsewhere in the sales, sweet-toothed shoppers have been stocking up on cheap Christmas chocs as supermarkets launch a post-Xmas price war.
